On this website, you can request information or submit a request for a booking. If you submit a request, we will send you a quotation for the requested period. We will immediately reserve that period. After that, you will have 4 days to decide. Upon receipt of your confirmation, the booking will become final. You will receive a written confirmation and our invoice by email. You will pay a deposit equal to 10% of the travel sum. Not later than six weeks before the date of arrival, you will pay the rest of the travel sum.

Then the fun begins! You can start thinking about everything you want to do. Check out our surroundings page to see what sights can be found near Algerhof. In the last week before your arrival, you will receive a message from Algerhof containing the latest information on check-in.

If you cancel, we will have to charge costs. For cancellations until six weeks before the date of arrival, we will charge 10% of the travel sum (your deposit).

For cancellations within six weeks before the date of arrival, you will receive the following refund:

• less than six weeks but more than four weeks before the date of arrival: 50% of the travel sum
• less than four weeks but more than two weeks before the date of arrival: 25% of the travel sum
• less than two weeks until the last day before the date of arrival: 10% of the travel sum
• on the date of arrival or after if you forget to cancel: 0% of the travel sum

Tip!

Remember to take out a good travel and cancellation insurance. 

These days, it is never entirely certain whether you can actually travel within Europe. If, for example due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there is a travel ban, we will consult with you to reschedule, or we will refund the full amount paid by you.

Even without snow chains, Abtenau is very well accessible. To get to Algerhof, you may have to apply snow chains. In the period of 1 November to 15 April, snow chains are mandatory everywhere in Austria. In that period, always have snow chains on board and use them where indicated by the round blue traffic signs. Important note! All-season or winter tyres are mandatory in Austria in the winter period.

Snowshoeing

A good alternative for a day of skiing is snowshoeing. It is a great way to discover the winter landscape in the Abtenau area. The mountain and hiking guides will take you to the best vistas. Join a group hike or book an individual tour. Every Wednesday from late December to mid-March, free snowshoeing tours are organized. You can sign up at the Abtenau tourist agency. 

Cross-country skiing

In and around Abtenau, you will find many cross-country ski runs. Two well-prepared runs go straight by Algerhof. Your TennengauPlusCard will give you free access to a basic cross-country ski training every Tuesday, from late December to mid-March.

Winter tobogganing

If you want to have a really good laugh, you must try the 3-kilometre winter tobogganing run from Abtenau. You will find the tobogganing run directly next to the Karkogel ski run. At night, the run is tastefully illuminated.

You can book your outdoor activities with OCT Outdoor Consulting Team or with Outdoor Unlimited, both in Abtenau. 

Certainly. Your group may bring up to two pets. We charge EUR 10 per pet per night. Please do not take your pets to the bedrooms and don't allow them to lie down or sleep on the sofas or the chairs.

There is a barbecue that you can use. Naturally, it is for outdoor use only. We will provide the first bag of charcoal.

Everything is ready for your arrival. The beds will be made, and there will be plenty of towels. If you stay more than 7 nights, we can provide clean bed linen and towels. The accommodation does not have its own washing machine. Of course, we can always help out in an emergency.
